Speaker Test Suite
Test stereo balance, surround sound channels, frequency response, and check for blown speakers or rattling.
Warning: Start with low volume and gradually increase. Some tests produce low frequencies that can damage speakers at high volume.
Stereo Balance Test
Click each speaker to test if it's working. Sound should come from the indicated side only.
Surround Sound Test (5.1/7.1)
For surround sound systems. Click each position to test that channel.
Note: Surround tests work best with properly configured 5.1/7.1 audio output
Frequency Response Test
Test if your speakers can reproduce different frequencies. Click a frequency to play a tone.
Bass (20-250Hz): Should feel deep, not rattling
Mids (250-4kHz): Voices and instruments - should be clear
Highs (4-20kHz): Cymbals, sibilance - should be crisp, not harsh
Blown Speaker Test
Listen carefully for buzzing, rattling, or distortion. A healthy speaker should produce clean tones.
Signs of a Blown Speaker
- - Buzzing or rattling at any volume
- - Distortion at moderate volume
- - No sound from one speaker
- - Scratchy or crackling sounds
- - Inconsistent volume
